EISF Welcomes John Scott As Tourism Industry Advisor

John Scott recently joined EISF as a producer and its Tourism Industry Advisor. With over twenty years of video, broadcasting, publishing, and marketing experience with the tourism industry, John's talents are considered a true asset. John has worked with tourism, convention and visitors’ bureaus across the country developing effective video and web-based marketing programs in Santa Barbara and Palm Springs, California; Tucson, Arizona; Houston, Texas; Rochester, New York; Sarasota, Lee County and Space Coast, Florida; and many others. More key, however, is that John is intimately familiar with the link between tourism, conservation, environmental and cultural resources and the human connectivity to it all.

“Communities that earn a living from tourism and understand the connection between their livelihood and conservation are motivated to protect their environment” says Scott. “The immersive nature of high definition also makes it that much more effective to promote the protection, conservation and interpretation of cultural resources, our ever changing landscapes and seascapes, and our continually challenged wildlife…which are all non-renewable assets of the tourism industry, as well. EISF’s integrated approach of incorporating education, science, art and technology with high definition media to make a difference is exciting,” Scott states “and the foundation’s desire to stimulate interest in conservation of the world’s underwater cultural heritage and marine life are only two of several areas that I am anxious to become involved in.”
