EISF held a "Volunteer Kick-Off" event on Wednesday October 19th, 2005 at the Santa Barbara Maritime Museum. Susan Sember welcomed the attendees who expressed interest in supporting EISF's Channel Islands project. The audience of volunteers were then treated to a sneak preview clip of high definition video and several speakers' presentations, also volunteers, who updated the attendees on their passionate undertakings for the foundation. The new volunteers also learned about EISF's mission and vision for the Jewels of the Pacific, as well as upcoming events that will need support.
